The members of the Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) will cast their votes on Saturday (today) to elect the body’s new president, secretary, other office-bearers and the members of its managing committee.
Two candidates, Mushtaq Ahmed Memon and Mustufa Lakhani, are contesting for the post of the association’s president, while Asghar Naseem Faruqui and Mohammad Saleem Mangrio are in the race for the office of the secretary.
Akhlaq Ahmed Khan and Yousuf Moulvi are the candidates for the post of the vice president.
Majid Noman Khan and Shaikh Ikram Aziz are contesting for the post of the treasurer. Rehan Aziz Malik, however, has been declared elected unopposed.
The candidates for the posts of the managing committee members are: Asim Aziz Khan, Asjad Sattar, Azizuddin Qureshi, Fazalur Rehman, Khursheed Javed, Liaquat Hussain, Mohammad Aslam Chaudhry, Mohammad Ikram Siddiqui, Mohammad Iqbal Aqeel, M Nadeem A Sheikh, Naseem Jawaid, Qazi Ali Athar, Rizwan Ahmed Siddiqui, Rehan Farooq, Saeeda Siddiqui, Samsam Ali Khan and ZU Mujahid.
